My inspiration
Maple & Buttons specializes in handmade fabric crafts and accessories, with a focus on small quantity production. Each piece is inspired by the places I call home and the memories I collected along the way - from myJapanese heritage to my upbringing in Canada, with touches of European influence from my travels.
Through my work, I celebrate the charm and culture of every town, city, and country I experience, all through the eyes of an international Asian woman.

I started sewing as a way to slow down in a world that feels too fast. Every piece is carefully handmade in small batches using cotton or linen, sustainable for the enviornment. I create cozy, delicate items that feel like something you’ve loved before - like a memory stitched into cloth. Hope they make you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
